Job Summary

Build and improve a large-scale e-commerce search engine powering best-in-class shopping experiences for over a billion monthly users. You’ll optimize query analysis and text relevance, implement multi-modal (NLP/CV/video) matching, and design end-to-end ranking systems to improve personalization and conversion/GMV. Work with deployed model platforms and collaborate on ecosystem challenges like supply-demand matching and cold start.

Key Responsibilities

•Improve search quality and user experience by optimizing query analysis and text relevance matching and implementing multi-modal matching.
•Design and implement end-to-end ranking systems, including recall and multi-stage ranking and mixed rows.
•Improve personalized shopping interests modeling and conversion efficiency to support GMV growth across merchandise, video, and live stream.
•Solve ecosystem challenges such as supply-demand matching, business cold start, and sustainable growth of GMV by iterating system evolution.
•Work with deployed software platforms for model deployment and collaborate as part of a team using statistics, scripting, and programming languages.

Key Requirements

•Completing or recently completed a PhD in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
•Excellent coding skills with solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
•Strong analysis, modeling, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract the essence of problems from complex data.
•Industry work experience in machine learning.
•Good product sense focused on user experience.
