Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and manage IFRS 17 reporting tools, especially the planning and forecasting model, ensuring accurate and on-time deliverables.
  • •Lead user acceptance testing, manage model change processes, and drive model remediation.
  • •Support model risk governance processes and discussions with internal and external audit.
  • •Provide subject-matter expertise on group solutions, processes and controls.
  • •Support management of the Guangzhou team to deliver projects and strengthen relationships within Global Business Finance & Reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Qualified or nearly qualified actuary with a recognised professional body (e.g., SOA, IFoA).
  • •Degree in Actuarial Science (or equivalent) with strong technical insurance background.
  • •Significant insurance experience including business partnering, IFRS17 reporting and/or system development.
  • •Strong technical knowledge of planning and forecasting, with preference for life insurance product experience.
  • •Python development experience for insurance valuation is an advantage; experience delivering valuation/modelling projects on agreed timelines.
