Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead planning, preparation, review, and submission of complex annual, quarterly, monthly, and event-driven state reporting deliverables.
  • •Serve as reviewer and sign-off owner for supplemental and state filings, including certifications and filing packages submitted to regulators and other external parties.
  • •Coordinate responses to state regulators and external parties with internal data owners and subject matter experts to resolve questions and compliance issues.
  • •Monitor and assess new or changing state requirements, determining ownership and implementing new filings, revised due dates, and process changes.
  • •Supervise and develop four specialist-level associates, driving performance management, coaching, workflow balancing, and coverage planning.

Key Requirements

  • •Undergraduate degree in business administration, accounting, finance, insurance, or a relevant field preferred.
  • •CPA or relevant industry designation (e.g., CPCU, IIA, FLMI) preferred.
  • •More than five years of experience in public accounting, equivalent industry experience, or relevant insurance experience.
  • •Strong knowledge of GAAP and/or statutory accounting bases and the ability to prepare complex financial/statistical reporting.
  • •Ability to lead in a team or project environment and communicate professionally with regulators and business partners.
