Job Summary

Advise on antitrust and competition law matters for foodpanda’s APAC operations, managing a multi-jurisdictional portfolio across 10+ markets. Key Responsibilities

•Provide strategic advisory on competition law issues across foodpanda’s APAC operations, including antitrust investigations and commercial agreements across 10 jurisdictions.
•Design, implement, and continuously improve the global competition law compliance program, tailoring it for APAC market nuances and producing practical playbooks for local teams.
•Advise regional and local leadership on competition law risks and regulatory investigations, balancing global consistency with local commercial agility.
•Deliver high-stakes guidance on merchant parity/exclusivity clauses, loyalty programs, dynamic pricing, and the gig economy labor/competition nexus.
•Lead competition law investigations and regulatory engagements, including “dawn raid” readiness and response protocols across fragmented jurisdictions.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of post-qualified experience (PQE) in competition/antitrust law, preferably from a top-tier international law firm or a fast-paced in-house environment, with qualification to practise in Singapore or Hong Kong preferred.
•Strong understanding of antitrust regimes across APAC, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and the Philippines, and awareness of evolving digital economy regulations.
•Strong understanding of two-sided markets and platform economics, including network effects and data access as they relate to market power.
•Proven ability to balance legal risk management with the commercial goals of a high-growth tech business.
•Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to simplify complex legal concepts for non-legal stakeholders.
