Job Summary

Troubleshoot, repair, re-commission, and maintain field instrumentation supporting gas turbines, steam turbines, waste heat boilers, and desalination plant auxiliaries. Attend to power and desalination plant instrumentation breakdowns and planned maintenance with minimal supervision, assess job requirements, select tools/equipment, and manage spare parts and maintenance records via the computerized maintenance system. Ensure work complies with safety and operational requirements, assist with RCFA, and provide on-the-job training to craftsmen.

Key Responsibilities

•Troubleshoot, repair, re-commission, and maintain field instrumentation for gas turbines, steam turbines, waste heat boilers, and desalination plant auxiliaries.
•Attend to power and desalination plant field instrumentation breakdowns and planned maintenance with minimum direction and supervision.
•Technically assess allocated jobs, selecting necessary tools and equipment to complete the work.
•Order spare parts using the computerized maintenance system and maintain records of maintenance work completed.
•Ensure maintenance work follows safety procedures and plant operational requirements; report repeated breakdowns and assist with RCFA; provide on-the-job training to new craftsmen.

Key Requirements

•Higher secondary or diploma.
•Familiarity with maintenance tools and good knowledge of plant safety.
•Prior experience working in a power or desalination plant and exposure to maintenance and calibration of field instrumentation.
•Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and manuals.
•Knowledge/experience with electrical, electronics, computer, hydraulic, and pneumatic devices.
