Job Summary

Support TEMPEST/EMP operations for environmental effects engineering by designing and building test setups (breakout boxes, bulkhead panels, fixtures, cable assemblies) and maintaining test documentation and procedures. Execute laboratory and on-platform troubleshooting using advanced electronic test equipment, validate test configurations, and communicate results with cross-functional teams and customers. Ensure EHS, RTX Quality, and Physical & Cyber Security compliance while working primarily onsite.

Key Responsibilities

•Support TEMPEST/EMP operations by designing and facilitating build of breakout boxes, bulkhead panels, and test setup ambient certifications.
•Build and assemble test fixtures and cable assemblies under direction of the Lead TEMPEST/EMP Engineer.
•Review, update, and maintain engineering documentation and test procedures.
•Set up, operate, and validate test configurations in laboratory and on-platform environments, applying electronic theory and test methodologies to troubleshoot technical challenges.
•Communicate with cross-functional teams and customers, ensure EHS/RTX Quality/Physical & Cyber Security compliance, and support off-hours work and periodic travel as required.

Key Requirements

•U.S. citizenship only (dual citizenship not permitted) and ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance.
•AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
•10+ years of experience on E6 platforms, including installation, wiring, upgrades, post-installation checkouts, and field troubleshooting.
•Proficiency with test equipment including spectrum analyzers, VNAs, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, power meters, and frequency counters.
•Strong ability interpreting wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, and assembly drawings, with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio).
