Key Responsibilities

  • •Be an integral part of our WORLD CLASS RAIL DESIGN group and develop overhead catenary systems layout drawings, profiles, hanger tabulations, erection diagrams and technical specifications.
  • •Perform quality control reviews and design checks of railroad projects and lead major tasks.
  • •Serve as a project manager on mid-large size projects and coordinate with multiple departments to ensure project scope is met.
  • •Mentor staff to develop a team to support work throughout New England and beyond and maintain strong client relationships.
  • •Lead technical client relationships related to design, construction and phasing of the work and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for Overhead Catenary Systems (OCS).

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field plus 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • •Professional Engineer (PE)
  • •Valid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must have a Valid Driver's License and pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.
  • •Experience with AutoCAD, Microstation, GEOPAK, OpenRoads or OpenRail
  • •10 years' experience in railway systems (Overhead Catenary Systems/Traction Power) would be preferred and 6 years in railway-related work would be preferred
