Key Responsibilities

  • •Support site safety and environmental programs to align with regulatory, compliance, and company standards, including maintaining EMS and SIPS and supporting ISO 14001/45001 certification efforts.
  • •Collect and analyze EHS Key Performance Indicators (OSHA/environmental violations, incident rates, turnover, workers’ compensation claims) and support strategies to reduce workers’ compensation costs, absenteeism, and turnover.
  • •Ensure required regulatory and company EHS training is delivered, and may train production employees and management on OSHA, environmental regulations, SOPs, and emergency response.
  • •Help ensure thorough incident investigations are completed, identify and implement corrective actions, and support employee exposure surveys as needed.
  • •Provide leadership through employee development and coaching to drive a positive employee experience.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in environmental, health and safety (or related field) and 3+ years relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • •Experience acting as a lead by providing training, coaching, or mentoring to less experienced staff, or managing a process or project.
  • •Ability to handle multiple assignments, set goals, and complete commitments on schedule.
  • •Comfort working long hours, weekends, and being on-call when required.
  • •Ability to make strategic decisions during stressful situations, including leading emergency response efforts.
