Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop lattice tower design criteria, including clearances, structural loading, maintenance, and weather studies.
  • •Create structure framing configurations and produce detailed structural designs and detailing.
  • •Perform transmission line optimization studies to support tower family development, span length, and conductor selection.
  • •Coordinate with client standards and multidisciplinary teams to optimize designs for materials, constructability, and maintenance while adhering to QA/QC.
  • •Resolve site queries during construction and deliver complex technical deliverables, plans, and designs in compliance with applicable codes and WSP policies.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • •4+ years of relevant post-education experience in transmission line design and lattice tower design, fabrication, and testing.
  • •Experience with steel transmission lattice tower design.
  • •Proficiency with U.S. codes ASCE 10, ASCE Manual 74, and NESC.
  • •Technical writing and strong ability with engineering computations, plans/specifications, and discipline-specific design software (e.g., PLS TOWER, PLS CADD, AutoCAD).
