Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical leadership for transportation and traffic engineering studies, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • •Act as the primary technical contact for clients, project managers, and road authorities on traffic engineering assignments.
  • •Lead traffic operations assessments using Synchro, SimTraffic, and related analysis tools.
  • •Develop and interpret traffic volume and forecasting analyses (e.g., trip generation, distribution, assignment, future horizon).
  • •Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams and provide mentoring, workload planning, performance feedback, and quality review.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Civil Engineering (or related) with a focus on transportation or traffic engineering.
  • •Licensed as a Professional Engineer (or eligible for P.Eng. with Engineers Nova Scotia).
  • •8+ years of progressive experience in transportation or traffic engineering with technical leadership and project management.
  • •Advanced working knowledge of Synchro/SimTraffic and traffic operations analysis, including signalized/unsignalized intersection analysis.
  • •Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AutoTURN, and reviewing deliverables with constructive feedback to support QA.
