Key Responsibilities

  • •Review purchase order and subcontract terms and conditions for compliance with company policies, internal guidance, and applicable federal, state, and local laws, including FAR and supplements.
  • •Provide guidance and drafting support to resolve legally related issues supporting Procurement and Program teams.
  • •Support supplier performance issues by advising on potential claims and remedies and assisting in disputes/claims with suppliers.
  • •Draft and negotiate terms and conditions, software licenses, and other agreements to protect and benefit the company.
  • •Research legal issues for the Supply Chain organization or LCC, maintain standard terms/negotiation guidance, and coordinate with Counsel and SMEs; assist with audit activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience with minimum 10 years relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree (Juris Doctor or related) with minimum 7 years experience.
  • •Experience with US Government contracts including FAR/DFAR supplements and government contract procurement processes, plus licenses and/or commercial contract drafting and negotiation.
  • •Experience analyzing contracts for legal research and analysis, including supply chain processes/procedures and/or supplier management.
  • •Experience negotiating terms and conditions of purchase, with partial support of supplier negotiations for goods and services.
  • •Experience with problems, claims, and disputes with suppliers, including identifying grounds for claims and supporting dispute resolution.
