Job Summary

Lead tooling creation and tooling manufacturing for a designated footwear factory, managing lead time and quality while ensuring adidas innovation technologies and processes are implemented across assigned factories. Drive manufacturing efficiency improvement projects with Tier 1 factories, mold shops, and component suppliers. Support tooling costing inputs, maintain tooling data security, implement tooling technologies, and collaborate with Industrial Engineering and external stakeholders in Vietnam and China.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage tooling creation and tooling manufacturing lead time and quality within the assigned factory.
•Consult and participate in liaison office costing for tooling costing, including theoretical weight submission and cycle time verification for outsoles.
•Shorten tooling creation and manufacturing lead time using lean manufacturing and forecasting/planning tools.
•Implement and maintain tooling data security across assigned Tier 1 and Tier 2 facilities; ensure Tier 1 tooling data is updated in the regional tooling data management system.
•Develop and implement manufacturing technologies and processes with industrial engineering, Tier 1/Tier 2 teams, liaison office, and machinery vendors to improve efficiency and consistency.

Key Requirements

•Manage tooling creation and tooling manufacturing lead time and quality within the assigned factory.
•Strong technical knowledge of tooling design, engineering, and manufacturing, including CAD and CAM (RT and RP are a plus).
•Good technical footwear knowledge of product construction and manufacturing methods.
•Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process automation to improve efficiency and lead times.
•University degree in engineering or related areas, with minimum 5+ years of relevant experience.
