Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide engineering oversight and design review of trackwork, alignment, civil works to CHSR criteria and standards (AREMA, FRA).
  • •Evaluate contractor submittals, RFIs, and design packages for completeness, constructability, and adherence to project requirements; resolve design issues and field coordination challenges.
  • •Coordinate track and civil interfaces with structures, systems (O&M, signaling), utilities, and roadway elements; support interdisciplinary integration across TSCC and adjacent contracts.
  • •Provide engineering support during construction including field issue resolution, change evaluation, and technical clarification; review construction methods and quality documentation.
  • •Ensure outputs meet CHSR design standards, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines; identify risks and propose mitigation strategies; maintain project documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • •Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in civil engineering, structural engineering, transportation engineering, construction management, or a related field
  • •Professional Engineering (PE) license in civil engineering, especially with rail or transportation infrastructure focus
  • •Experience working on large-scale rail infrastructure programs, particularly within California High Speed Rail or similar programs
  • •Strong coordination skills involving multidisciplinary engineering teams
