Job Summary

Join the NEXTracker mechanical testing team in Hyderabad to construct prototypes and fixtures, machine test components, and assemble mechanical systems for solar tracker qualification. You’ll fabricate parts, program CAM tooling, operate CNC and traditional machines, and collaborate with engineers across teams to ensure precision, safety, and timely delivery of testing hardware.

Key Responsibilities

•Construct prototypes and custom fixtures for mechanical tests, selecting appropriate materials for test fixtures.
•Generate tool paths for CNC machines using CAM software (Delcam, Mastercam) and create machining programs using G-Codes/M-Codes.
•Operate machining tools to shape and refine test specimens and fixtures, and perform welding to assemble test parts.
•Ensure precision and quality of fabricated components; conduct preventive maintenance on fabrication tools and equipment.
•Collaborate with engineers, designers, and technicians; record fabrication details and address fabrication issues as they arise.

Key Requirements

•Diploma in mechanical engineering / ITI machinist or certification or equivalent.
•Hands-on experience in a fabrication role.
