Job Summary

Maintain and troubleshoot the BEUMER Individual Carrier System (ICS) at CVG, performing routine and advanced electrical and mechanical maintenance. Diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical, and control subsystems, respond to carrier jams and sensor/control errors, and execute resets and root-cause analysis. Use BEUMER SAC and PLC systems to monitor performance, inspect system health, maintain logs, and support upgrades and reliability-centered maintenance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform routine and advanced maintenance on BEUMER ICS components, including diverters, scanners, and third-party interface equipment.
•Diagnose and resolve faults across mechanical, electrical, and control subsystems using structured troubleshooting methods.
•Respond to system interruptions (carrier jams, sensor faults, control logic errors), execute resets, and conduct root cause analysis.
•Perform preventive and corrective maintenance aligned with BEUMER standards and OEM documentation, while maintaining accurate maintenance logs.
•Interface with BEUMER SAC and PLC systems to monitor performance, inspect system health using diagnostic tools and dashboards, and support upgrades/retrofits.

Key Requirements

•Associate degree or technical certification in mechatronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
•2–5 years of hands-on experience in automated material handling systems, preferably in airport or logistics environments.
•Ability to obtain and maintain airside security clearance.
•Deep understanding of mechatronic systems (sensors, actuators, motors, and controls) and structured troubleshooting.
•Proficiency with BEUMER SAC systems and PLC programming (Siemens preferred), including fault diagnostics.
