Job Summary

Drive business development for Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) and bulk annuity propositions within the Defined Benefits Solutions team. Own pipeline management and early client engagement, clearly communicate and advocate the PRT value proposition to technical and non-technical audiences, and collaborate with PRT Transaction Managers to deliver priorities. Maintain key internal/external relationships, support brand advocacy and market presence, manage MI and knowledge sharing, and lead/mentor team members.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead pipeline management, including early engagement with EBCs and clients to feed planning cycles and position the business ahead of market processes.
•Confidently communicate and advocate the PRT proposition, maintaining an in-depth understanding of capabilities and business strategy and relevant pensions/economic/political topics.
•Communicate effectively with a technical actuarial audience and simplify technical issues for non-technical stakeholders; present at industry events.
•Collaborate with PRT Transaction Managers and oversee needed input from colleagues to deliver business development priorities.
•Develop and distribute management information (MI), manage knowledge sharing on market developments, maintain key internal/external relationships, and lead/mentor team members as required.

Key Requirements

•Significant experience leading and managing the execution of PRT deals (or similar) from an Employee Defined Consultants, bulk annuity provider, or reinsurer.
•Strong commercial acumen with a proactive, results-oriented approach to building pipelines and sourcing high-value opportunities.
•Deep knowledge of the latest industry practices, regulatory requirements, and techniques for arranging and managing PRT deals.
•Strong existing network across the defined benefit pensions universe, including EBCs, legal firms, and professional trustees.
•Proven ability to manage diverse stakeholders and translate complex concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
