Key Responsibilities

  • •Care for and supervise the care of patients, working closely with physicians.
  • •Develop and maintain quality-improving measures for wound management and stomal care in ambulatory and inpatient settings.
  • •Provide phase-appropriate treatment of chronic and acute wounds and stomal care/consultation.
  • •Select required wound care products and necessary tools under medical orders and wound status; provide additional needed aids.
  • •Participate in discharge planning and ambulatory follow-up; educate patients and families for self-care.
