Key Responsibilities

•Care for and supervise the care of patients, working closely with physicians.
•Develop and maintain quality-improving measures for wound management and stomal care in ambulatory and inpatient settings.
•Provide phase-appropriate treatment of chronic and acute wounds and stomal care/consultation.
•Select required wound care products and necessary tools under medical orders and wound status; provide additional needed aids.
•Participate in discharge planning and ambulatory follow-up; educate patients and families for self-care.

Key Requirements

•Dipl. Pflegefachfrau/-mann HF with wound management certificate; proven experience in wound care and stomal care in acute settings
•Experience in acute care and stomal care; ability to work in an interdisciplinary team with physicians
•Strong communication skills, responsibility and business sense; ability to coordinate with multiple departments
•Ability to develop and maintain quality-improving measures for wound management and stoma care
•Prophylaxis and management of complications, outpatient follow-up, and involvement in discharge planning
