Key Responsibilities

  • •Own day-to-day execution of welding projects on site, including planning and sequencing weld work.
  • •Lead site logistics and operations for welding work: scheduling, progress tracking, quality control, and resource allocation.
  • •Oversee procurement and execution of welding projects, including cost estimates, bids, contract award, and budget/scope/schedule management.
  • •Serve as primary point of contact for welding activities between contractors, engineering, and SpaceX teams; resolve field issues in real time.
  • •Directly supervise welders and fitters, set daily priorities, manage night shift weld contractors as required, and assist hands-on when needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •3+ years of professional experience in construction or aerospace industries, including experience leading or coordinating a labor force.
  • •3+ years of hands-on experience with a construction trade skill.
  • •Ability to read and interpret piping/instrumentation diagrams, isometric drawings, fabrication drawings, and redlines.
  • •Strong understanding of weld quality requirements, visual inspection, and nondestructive evaluation (NDE) methods.
