Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage the production operation of multiple departments across multiple shifts.
  • •Manage and motivate employees for maximum productivity, including evaluating performance and conducting employee reviews.
  • •Identify, research, and resolve operational problems and opportunities, and manage cost and profitability.
  • •Lead continuous improvement and safety initiatives, participate in the Safety Committee, and help ensure compliance with safety standards and UFP policies.
  • •Manage department inventory and prepare reports and maintain required records; may drive a forklift and assist with hazardous material handling if assigned.

Key Requirements

  • •Post high school education is required.
  • •3 to 5 years of manufacturing experience and 1 to 3 years of experience managing people.
  • •Strong communication skills, including speaking clearly, engaging listeners, and asking pertinent questions.
  • •Commitment to safety and working with safety leaders on JDA’s and JSA’s, including training related to machine audits and LOTO.
  • •Proficiency in operating Inside UFPI and using Citrix, plus knowledge of the Precise Plant Quality Program and continuous improvement (5S and TPM).
