Key Responsibilities

  • •Contribute to, analyze, and optimize the performance of the core ClickHouse database, covering topics like query optimization, distributed query optimization, relational operators (aggregation, joins), caching, and low-level optimizations.
  • •Extend and develop performance tests based on real-world or synthetic datasets to ensure sustained database performance.
  • •Serve as a resource for the Support Engineering team, assisting with advanced performance issues and participating in on-call rotations and external community channels.
  • •Collaborate with other teams to assess the impact of new features on performance and reliability, ensuring scalable integration.
  • •Engage with the open-source community: resolve issues, review and finish PRs, and answer questions across mail, chats, and forums.

Key Requirements
