Key Responsibilities

  • •Critically and holistically assess and verify unsecured/secured loan applications within approved policies, procedures, and service level agreements.
  • •Conduct due diligence of financial documents to determine affordability and provide recommendations prior to lending decisions.
  • •Ensure applications are assessed consistently and objectively, adhering to policy and maintaining strict schedule compliance while meeting PLA and KPI targets.
  • •Identify, escalate, and manage operational and other risks aligned to HSBC values and risk objectives, including maintaining nil complaints and operational loss.
  • •Support process improvement, team objectives, coaching/feedback activities, and collaborate with line management and sales/frontline to resolve verification/documentation discrepancies.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 3 years of proven experience in Credit Operations with underwriting limits in Indian retail or corporate loan products.
  • •Home loans/mortgage experience is preferred.
  • •Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience (with preference for commerce).
  • •Strong mathematical, analytical, and communications skills with awareness of credit products, credit lifecycle, and credit processes.
  • •Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
