Job Summary

Lead and deputize the Base Maintenance team to manage and monitor aircraft maintenance for Air Arabia and third-party aircraft. Ensure work is performed, certified, and recorded in compliance with procedures and regulatory requirements, optimize manpower planning, and coordinate with MCC, planning and QA to maintain airworthiness and timely operations.

Key Responsibilities

•Leads and deputizes the Manager – Base Maintenance in guiding engineers and technicians per procedures and regulatory requirements
•Acts as main contact with MCC, Development and Planning Engineers, and QA to coordinate day-to-day maintenance tasks
•Directs maintenance work to rectify defects using MCC instructions, TSR troubleshooting, and input from cabin crew/pilots while ensuring proper qualifications and authority matrix
•Oversees third-party SLAs and ensures staff are trained and licensed in their category to maintain relationships
•Ensures safety, regulatory compliance, and effective handover procedures to protect airworthiness and maintain continuous maintenance operations

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Aircraft Engineering/Aeronautical or equivalent
•Holds/has held the GCAA type-rating EASA Part 66 or GCAA CAR 66 B1 Aircraft Maintenance License (A320 preferred)
•9+ years in Line or Base Maintenance with 3 years in supervision/management, including leading teams
•Project Management certificate or proven equivalent experience
•Cost control, budgeting, quality assurance experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office; fluent in English; UAE Driver's License
