Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

•Design, build, and maintain backend systems and infrastructure for stablecoin-based money movement (pay-ins, payouts, deposits, withdrawals).
•Own key projects end-to-end as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) from design through production.
•Build internal and external APIs that enable businesses and partners to embed stablecoin-powered payments into their products.
•Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Infrastructure, Compliance) to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
•Identify and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues across distributed systems, and mentor engineers on architectural best practices.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 191,100 annually

•Proficiency in backend languages (e.g., Go or Java) and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS or GCP), with hands-on distributed systems and API design experience.
•Track record serving as DRI for complex technical projects from system design through production deployment.
•Experience integrating with or building blockchain/crypto technologies such as stablecoins, on-chain payments, or smart contract platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Solana, Base).
•Ability to write technical design documents and communicate system architecture trade-offs to product and engineering stakeholders.
