Key Responsibilities

  • •Catch pullets and load birds for transport, including placing birds into modules for live haul.
  • •Rotate tasks for housing and identification, including scanning wingbands, badging/penning birds, and rotating between vaccination-hold and vaccination tasks.
  • •Use wire cutters and other tools to remove bands/badges; catch and process spent hens and transport them for live haul and subsequent handling.
  • •Trim toenails and/or beaks using a trimmer; catch, properly euthanize pedigree birds, and transport to incinerator for disposal.
  • •Perform sanitation, equipment maintenance, and other farm crew duties such as litter removal, operating washers, and disposing of mortality and trash while following safety and biosecurity policies.

Key Requirements

  • •Must have at least 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no employment gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months (with exceptions for layoffs or child/elder care increasing the gap to 18 months).
  • •Priority consideration for internal applicants first; applicants with previous agricultural or production experience are preferred.
  • •Applicants must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview.
  • •Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species and to sign and abide by Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.
