Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical support for corrosion control and pipeline integrity on a regional/system basis.
•Gather and evaluate pipe-to-soil survey data, rectifier readings, and perform interference testing; troubleshoot cathodic facilities and recommend/design needed cathodic systems.
•Design, install, operate, and maintain cathodic protection facilities (including power lines and galvanic anodes) and internal corrosion control facilities.
•Monitor pipeline condition using pipe-to-soil potentials, visual inspections, coupon examinations, and in-line tool data; assess electrical isolation and identify electrical shorts.
•Support internal and atmospheric corrosion work, including coating evaluations, internal corrosion program monitoring for single and multiphase gas pipelines/liquid lines, and document regulatory compliance and O&M procedures.

Key Requirements

•Two-year technical degree in Corrosion Technology, electrical, electronics, or equivalent from an approved accredited college/university.
•Approved educational courses in all phases of corrosion including internal, external, and atmospheric corrosion.
•Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license; may be required to possess a commercial driver’s license and comply with commercial vehicle regulations.
•Understand and operate all corrosion-related instrumentation.
•Proficient with computer skills (MS Office, operating systems, company software, and technical systems) and basic math skills.
