Key Responsibilities

  • •Own cost control for multiple smaller projects or a single highly complex project within the programme of works.
  • •Create and maintain robust cost controls and reports, ensuring client objectives are met and projects are delivered to time and cost targets with required quality standards.
  • •Develop CBS and align time phasing of budgets to WBS, mapping cost estimates to work packages/control accounts and tracking actual costs.
  • •Set up and support Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) and the change control process, providing cost information for change notes and underpinning forecasts.
  • •Produce accruals (ACWP), update forecasts (ETC), and validate/interrogate supply chain data to support accurate forecasting and timely reporting, while demonstrating leadership within the cost control team.

Key Requirements

  • •Professional Project Controls experience specialising in Cost Engineering/Control across one or more sectors through the project lifecycle.
  • •Detailed understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM), progress reporting, forecasting, and performance reporting/analysis.
  • •Ability to tailor cost control approaches and implement, administer, and maintain cost control systems and procedures for budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts.
  • •Familiarity with NEC or FIDIC contract processes for management, control and reporting of cost data, and ability to produce accruals and reflect ACWP accurately.
  • •Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, including ability to influence, manage, motivate, coach and develop a team; communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.
