Key Responsibilities

  • •Author formal Requests for Change (RFCs) with implementation and rollback plans, and schedule Authorized Service Interruptions (ASIs) within approved maintenance windows.
  • •Manage and resolve Tier I–III network incidents, service requests, and task orders in ServiceNow, including creating and maintaining troubleshooting documentation.
  • •Schedule, test, and perform operating system upgrades and security patches on Cisco devices, validating pre- and post-upgrade stability.
  • •Audit network switches and routers against DISA STIG benchmarks, implement configuration hardening, and track vulnerability remediation.
  • •Monitor enterprise network health and telemetry alerts (e.g., with SolarWinds) and support firewall/NAC operations, including troubleshooting across Palo Alto appliances and NAC/authentication using ForeScout, TACACS+, and RADIUS.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of related experience and hands-on configuring, administering, and updating enterprise/datacenter network devices running Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, and NX-OS.
  • •Must currently possess an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI status.
  • •Review DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and apply them to harden Cisco network infrastructure, maintaining compliance and vulnerability remediation tracking.
  • •Practical experience administering/supporting Network Access Control (NAC) and authentication protocols such as 802.1X using ForeScout, Cisco TACACS+, and RADIUS.
  • •Required certifications: Security+ (or DoD 8140 compliant), ITIL Foundations v4 (or ability to obtain within 9 months), and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
