Key Responsibilities

  • •Assemble, install, assess, and repair valves, pipes, fittings, and fixtures for water, steam, chilled water, hot water, sewage, gas, air, and drainage systems per specifications and plumbing codes.
  • •Study building plans and drawings to determine required work aids and installation sequence; inspect structures for obstructions.
  • •Locate and mark pipe positions, cut openings in walls and floors, and use hand and power tools to route and install plumbing.
  • •Cut, thread, bend, and join pipe using pipe cutters/cutting torch/pipe-threading machine, solder/plastic solvent/caulk joints, and pressure testing to detect leaks.
  • •Install and repair plumbing fixtures and systems, including sinks, commodes, bathtubs, water heaters, hot water tanks, garbage disposal units, dishwashers, water softeners, and backflow devices; repair leaks and clear clogged drains.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 5 years journeyman-level Plumber/Pipefitter experience or completion of a DOL-certified apprentice program.
  • •Read and interpret blueprints and drawings in English; capable of reading and writing English.
  • •Maintain a valid state driver’s license and a State of Nevada Plumbing License (and be able to obtain/maintain other required licenses/ID/certifications).
  • •Ability to solve problems and work independently with minimal supervision; successfully pass required background checks and/or drug testing.
  • •Be able to lift at least 50 pounds and obtain a security clearance up to and including SECRET (and/or pass a National Agency Check).
