Key Responsibilities

  • •Travel to a facility or site location within 60 miles from residency to directly observe student performance
  • •Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with the cooperating health care organization
  • •Maintain effective communication with the student, cooperating preceptor/mentor, Office of Field Experience (OFE), and GCU Course Faculty
  • •Provide adequate records on the CONHCP student and supply those records to the GCU Course Faculty (use of external software – Typhon)
  • •Apply evaluation procedures and supply those results to the GCU Course Faculty
Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

  • •MSN Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP/AGACNP)
  • •Minimum of two years professional experience in an ACNP or AGACNP role
  • •Active, current, unencumbered ACNP/AGACNP state license
  • •Active, current, unencumbered, multi-state RN license
  • •National board certification – ACNP/AGACNP specific
