Key Responsibilities

  • •Execute hands-on visual structural condition assessments across mining and critical water infrastructure, using client and regulatory standards.
  • •Verify structural performance factors (load paths, corrosion, concrete degradation, deformation, weld conditions, anchorage integrity) and assign severity classifications from inspection findings.
  • •Create inspection reports with annotated redlines and high-resolution photo documentation, escalating imminent risks to clients and internal project managers.
  • •Develop structural response actions, repair plans, engineering assessments, and construction specifications for structural remediation and brownfield integration.
  • •Lead structural engineering tasks across project phases, and supervise/mentor junior engineers and EITs while coordinating engineering with internal teams and clients.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering (or equivalent).
  • •6+ years of structural engineering experience focused on asset management, structural condition assessments, and brownfield remediation.
  • •Ability and willingness to perform hands-on field inspections in remote underground mines and active water treatment facilities.
  • •Expert knowledge of Canadian structural design codes, including CSA S16 (structural steel) and CSA A23.3 (concrete).
  • •Access to a vehicle, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
