Load and unload trucks as needed to support production, may operate a forklift, and perform preventive maintenance while following company safety rules, policies, and required training.

Key Responsibilities

•Safely drive the Yard Jockey truck to stage shipping loads on-site in various weather conditions.
•Complete daily equipment inspection sheets and inspect equipment for safe operating conditions.
•Load and unload trucks as needed to assist with production.
•Secure and/or inspect loads to ensure they are properly secured and maintain appropriate shipping documents.
•Maintain radio contact with base/supervisor for instructions and complete required paperwork; may operate a forklift and conduct preventive maintenance.

Key Requirements

•Must be 18 years of age.
•Minimum 12th-grade basic education completed.
•6+ months of experience driving a commercial vehicle or yard jockey truck.
•Working knowledge of vehicle parts and ability to handle minor repairs to keep equipment in proper operating conditions.
•Successful completion of the forklift driver licensing process within 4 months of hire (CDL not required).
