Job Summary

Coordinate and support the Life Group program within the Department of Spiritual Life, recruiting, training and mentoring student leaders; plan events and projects, develop training content, track attendance and scholarship requirements, and help integrate leaders into chapel and ministry activities to advance the university’s mission.

•Support and carry out the vision and mission of the life leader program through effective planning and organization of administrative details.
•Provide training and mentorship to Life Leaders in their student leadership roles.
•Assist the Life Groups Manager in planning, developing, and implementing special projects and events as necessary.
•Assist in developing training content, coordinating training schedules and/or delivering training for student leaders throughout the school year.
•Support the overall mission of the Department of Spiritual Life with the Life Leader Program, integrating student leaders into chapel and other events in ways that provide opportunity for service and ministry.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution; a ministry-related program is preferred
•Minimum of 1 year of ministry experience with at least one year in a leadership role, preferably with college students or in higher education
•Demonstrated experience mentoring college students, planning and leading student events and communication
•Committed to growing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and the local church; understanding of Christian doctrine and ministry approaches
•Strong communication, administrative, and personnel management skills related to people and programs in a ministry or related setting
