Job Summary

Lead a team of System Development Engineers to build CI/CD frameworks and internal developer platforms that power Motorola Solutions’ global security ecosystem. Set the roadmap for infrastructure-as-code, mentor engineers on self-healing systems, and ensure distributed-system reliability through strong incident response and root-cause analysis. Own internal tools, APIs, and dashboards for self-service, and drive telemetry/observability while partnering across hardware, firmware, and cloud teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Define the roadmap for CI/CD and internal platform engineering, aligning technical initiatives with business goals.
•Lead, coach, and grow a team of System Development Engineers, removing blockers and championing “everything as code.”
•Drive internal tools, APIs, and dashboards to enable a frictionless self-service experience for global software teams.
•Oversee stability of distributed systems, manage complex escalations, and ensure RCA drives permanent improvements.
•Direct telemetry and observability implementation and ensure systems meet global cybersecurity standards while coordinating with hardware, firmware, and cloud leadership.

Key Requirements

•8+ years of experience in system development, SRE, or DevOps, with 3+ years in a formal leadership or management role.
•Proven track record delivering large-scale automation projects or internal developer platforms.
•Strong architectural fluency with Linux, TCP/IP and HTTP/3, and cloud-native architectures.
•Ability to review and guide development in object-oriented and scripting languages such as Python, Go, and C++.
•Strong experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible) and modern CI/CD orchestration.
