Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide day-to-day support to deliver concept studies/strategies, business case development, feasibility studies/options appraisal reporting for sustainable transport schemes.
  • •Prepare and lead transport planning work including Transport Statements/Assessments, Travel Plans, Environmental Impact Assessments, parking/access and movement/access studies, including planning applications and condition discharge work.
  • •Lead efforts on Development Consent Order applications for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, particularly related to energy.
  • •Actively manage and lead collaborative relationships with clients and internal colleagues across multidisciplinary teams.
  • •Take on project management responsibilities to deliver projects to budget, programme, technical standards, and associated legal requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience contributing to and preparing transport planning outputs for private and public sector clients, including items like Transport Statements/Assessments, Travel Plans, and Environmental Impact Assessments.
  • •Up-to-date knowledge of UK transport policies, legislations, design standards, and planning processes.
  • •Strong numerical and analytical skills, with working knowledge of MS Office (including Excel), transport data analysis and presentation, and transport software such as TRICS.
  • •Ability to produce both technical and non-technical project reports and presentations to a high standard.
  • •Project management experience supporting bids/tenders, fee proposals, supervising workloads/delegating tasks, and managing client expectations.
