Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair vehicle systems including electrical, brakes, cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and evaluate defective equipment using test instruments and road tests to diagnose malfunctions.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on a company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Maintain compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies and accurately complete DOT forms and other repair documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or 5 years’ experience as an alternative).
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
  • •Successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment (or submit a qualifying current DOT medical card).
  • •Must be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid driver’s license with ability to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File.
