Job Summary

Lead the Platform Engineering team responsible for end-user computing services across FDIC’s environment, including desktop/mobile OS engineering, image management, endpoint protection, and software distribution. Drive technical direction and platform roadmaps while ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable service delivery. Collaborate with security teams, application owners, OEM vendors, and stakeholders to modernize platforms, automate processes, manage image lifecycles, and provide Tier 3 break-fix support.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the Platform Engineering team for end-user platform engineering, including desktop/mobile OS engineering, image management, endpoint protection, software distribution, and unified endpoint management.
•Drive platform modernization and automation, including secure baseline development, image lifecycle management, and endpoint protection improvements.
•Maintain desktop/mobile OS baseline configurations and define OS, applications, encryption/security functionality, and image requirements.
•Script, package, test, and deploy Windows and macOS applications using deployment tools and self-service portals (including offline deployment methods when needed).
•Provide Tier 3 engineering support for escalated desktop/mobile issues and troubleshoot OS, application, and patching problems in collaboration with FDIC teams.

Travel: Low travel

Salary: USD 128,039 - 173,229 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (or related field) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•10+ years of related experience in end-user platform engineering and support.
•Experience with Microsoft Intune, Windows 11, and Modern Policies, including virtual desktop environments.
•Expertise in endpoint protection engineering, including MS Defender for Endpoint and CrowdStrike EDR Platform.
•Strong scripting/automation skills (PowerShell preferred) and secure baseline development (including DISA STIGs).
