Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and chair PSSR reviews.
  • •Integrate PSSR with commissioning priorities, startup philosophy, and SIMOPS.
  • •Verify mechanical completion and test status, confirm safety-critical systems are operational, and ensure control systems/interlocks and cause-and-effect functions work.
  • •Manage brownfield risks (live plant interfaces, SIMOPS, tie-ins/positive isolation, constraints) and coordinate safe system handover with Operations.
  • •Lead and manage a team of PSSR Coordinators and discipline engineers, resolve critical issues, provide go/no-go startup recommendations, and ensure governance, audit trail, and reporting readiness updates.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 10 years’ experience in commissioning and startup, including refinery or petrochemical projects.
  • •Proven experience leading PSSR activities and startup of major process systems.
  • •Proven experience with brownfield project execution.
  • •Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) and international standards such as OSHA PSSR principles, API, and IEC.
  • •Prior leadership and team management experience.
