Job Summary

Operate and maintain refrigeration and HVAC equipment at the Indianapolis bakery plant, including ammonia and HVAC systems, chillers and glycol, compressors, steam boilers, and related control and fire suppression systems. Work with electrical and gas systems, monitor and diagnose equipment performance, and perform repairs and rebuilds. This onsite role runs 6:00 PM–6:00 AM and reports to the Engineering Manager.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Operate and maintain boilers, air and ammonia compressors, condensers, steam control systems, and fire suppression equipment.
•Work with refrigeration and HVAC systems including ammonia and HVAC, chillers and glycol, evaporators and heat exchangers, compressors, RTUs, and water towers.
•Monitor equipment, distinguish normal vs. abnormal noises, and respond to alarms or emergency situations.
•Perform preventive and corrective maintenance by monitoring, rebuilding, and repairing equipment.
•Handle physical requirements of the role, including ladders and respirator fit testing, and follow safety procedures.
