Job Summary

Lead legal support for Majid Al Futtaim Properties Egypt’s development business, advising VP Legal–Development and internal stakeholders on current and future projects. Develop and execute legal strategies to mitigate legal and reputational risks, draft and negotiate contracts, and maintain legal templates. Manage external law firms, enhance governance and compliance policies, and support dispute resolution and litigation with preventive risk-focused guidance.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide comprehensive legal support to the VP, Legal – Development and key internal stakeholders aligned to business objectives.
•Develop and implement legal strategies, proactively identifying and mitigating legal and reputational risks.
•Provide timely, practical legal advice to protect company interests and ensure regulatory compliance.
•Draft, review, and negotiate complex and standard contracts; maintain and update legal templates as laws and business needs change.
•Manage external law firms and support dispute resolution, litigation, and preventive risk-focused guidance.

Key Requirements

•Law degree with at least 10 years of progressive legal experience in Egypt’s real estate or development sector.
•Bilingual in Arabic and English; LLM/MBA is an advantage.
•Strong real estate and construction law expertise with knowledge of relevant Egyptian and international legal frameworks.
•Ability to manage multiple complex projects, meet tight deadlines, and produce high-quality, detail-oriented work.
•Advanced problem-solving, strategic thinking, risk assessment, and due diligence capabilities.
