Job Summary

Lead and author HM Treasury Green Book business cases for major Defence, Nuclear, Infrastructure and Construction programmes, supporting client delivery across the North of the UK and wider UK. Partner with programme and project teams to run workshops, keep business case information auditable, develop case strategies, monitor risk treatments, and produce management information for HM Treasury approval and successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

•Facilitate workshops with project and programme teams and capture business case information in a structured, consistent, auditable way.
•Develop and maintain strategies, plans and processes to generate successful business cases and support implementation for clients and stakeholders.
•Monitor risk treatments and recommend continuous improvements across the lifecycle of a business case prior to submission.
•Maintain accurate business case portfolios using recognised methodologies and management software, producing high-quality outputs for stakeholders.
•Present recommendations to clients and senior leadership and support clients in embedding five-case model best-practice principles.

Key Requirements

•Experience working in project or programme environments in the Defence, Nuclear, Infrastructure or Construction sectors.
•Strong understanding of HM Treasury ‘Green Book’ approvals and the five-case model, preferably within MOD and/or wider HM Treasury organisations.
•Strong understanding of interfaces between Business Case Generation, Planning, Cost Management and Change Management disciplines.
•Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, facilitation and reporting skills.
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multi-disciplinary project controls teams.
