Key Responsibilities

  • •Interface with customers, product management, and hardware engineers to define and deliver new Layer1 features.
  • •Architect, design, and manage development of Layer1 features end-to-end, from definition to deployment.
  • •Develop and maintain features in C/C++/Python and contribute to functional and design specifications, including automated tests and test infrastructure.
  • •Build instrumentation and telemetry tools to track physical link health parameters and enable effective monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • •Collaborate with hardware, optics, system test, and customer support teams to bring new components to market and fix customer network issues; mentor new and junior engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •BS in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering plus 3 years of experience, or equivalent work experience.
  • •Expert knowledge of C or C++ and Python.
  • •Knowledge of UNIX or Linux.
  • •Strong problem solving and software troubleshooting skills with applied software engineering principles.
  • •Ability to design solutions independently and work effectively in small teams.
