Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist senior engineers in developing ventilation models and engineering assessments for tunnel projects.
  • •Prepare engineering calculations, ventilation layouts, mechanical design drawings, equipment sizing, and technical specifications.
  • •Support the development and review of simulation models for tunnel ventilation and fire scenarios.
  • •Contribute to 1D ventilation simulations and 3D fire/smoke modelling analyses, including occupant egress assessments.
  • •Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and help ensure designs and calculations comply with codes, standards, and project requirements; produce technical reports and documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • •Additional training in tunnel ventilation, fire safety engineering, or CFD simulation is desirable.
  • •Suitable for engineers with up to 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • •Strong interest in tunnel ventilation, fire life safety engineering, fluid dynamics, and simulation-based design.
  • •Working knowledge of relevant tools/standards (e.g., SES/IDA Tunnel, FDS/PyroSim, ANSYS Fluent, and guidelines such as NFPA 130 / PIARC / EU Directive 2004/54/EC) is beneficial.
