Key Responsibilities

  • •Own end-to-end data platform architecture across ingestion, lakehouse/warehouse layers, transformation, modeling, and delivery to analytics and reporting tools.
  • •Write, deploy, and review data pipelines, transformations, and data models using Spark and SQL.
  • •Design lakehouse architectures on Databricks or Fabric, including medallion layering, Delta table design, and semantic layer setup.
  • •Select and defend the platform approach (Databricks, Fabric, or a mix) based on workloads, licensing, skills, and cost profile.
  • •Implement governance and access control using Unity Catalog, Purview, or equivalents, and design ingestion from databases, SaaS, APIs, files, and legacy systems.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years in data engineering, including at least 3 years owning architecture and design decisions.
  • •Hands-on experience designing and building data platforms you have personally delivered.
  • •Deep experience with Databricks or Microsoft Fabric and working knowledge of the other.
  • •Strong Spark and SQL, plus solid production Python (or equivalent) for data work.
  • •Experience with Delta Lake, medallion/lakehouse patterns, and Power BI semantic modeling.
