Provide legal support for wholesale banking and international banking transactions, including bilateral and syndicated loans, structured finance, and cross-border matters. Draft, review, and negotiate financing documentation such as LMA-based agreements and security packages, while advising on regulatory and legal risk. Support legal policy development and bank-wide initiatives (innovation, digital transformation) through research, compliance monitoring, and collaboration with business teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

•Draft, review, and negotiate financing documentation, including LMA-based agreements and security packages, in line with UAE and international banking laws.
•Support and advise on wholesale banking financial products and services, including providing legal advice under supervision of senior counsel.
•Assist in negotiations with counterparties, obligors, and third parties.
•Conduct legal research on banking and finance laws and financial services regulations, identify legal risks, and support compliance and risk mitigation.
•Contribute to bank-wide legal policy development and initiatives, including digital transformation and innovation, while maintaining accurate records using practice management tools.

Key Requirements

•Emirati national with a Law degree.
•Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience in banking and finance law, preferably with a top-tier law firm.
•Admission to practice law in a recognized jurisdiction.
•Knowledge/experience in banking and finance, corporate finance, corporate and commercial, and financial services regulation, including cross-border transactions and LMA documentation.
•Fluent in English and Arabic with strong written and verbal communication skills for drafting legal documents and interacting with clients and stakeholders.
