Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical and electrical systems including brakes, cooling, electrical components, engine electronics, steering, transmissions, and related equipment.
  • •Inspect, test, and use tools/instruments to diagnose malfunctions; road test vehicles to verify proper operation.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on a company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Document repairs, complete DOT forms, and upload photos of work/parts/findings on Repair Orders using company iOS device and TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience (or alternative combinations such as additional certifications or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Hold a current and valid DOT medical card (or pass a DOT physical prior to employment) and successfully complete DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening.
  • •Must be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license with an obtainable/maintained Driver Qualification File.
