  • •Develop requirements with program management and engineering teams; discuss and interpret test results using collected data and observations.
  • •Serve as lead test engineer for small UAS or weapon systems, including development, certification, and integration tests to the AUR configuration.
  • •Perform safety and risk analysis for testing events.
  • •Collect test data and perform initial data analysis; conduct ground and flight testing at private and government-owned test ranges.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or related technical discipline; may substitute equivalent engineering experience.
  • •7+ years as a lead test conductor/test director for developmental weapon or missile systems on manned and/or unmanned aircraft, including requirements development, test planning/execution, and test reporting.
  • •Strong ability to learn new concepts quickly, organize and coordinate work phases, and determine an appropriate approach to solve complex problems.
  • •Complete understanding of engineering concepts, principles, codes, and theory, with broad application and expanding knowledge across related technical specialties.
  • •Working knowledge of the National Airspace System and UAS operating rules; strong command-line interface skills; ability to communicate effectively and travel as required for test planning and execution.
