Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate and maintain ammonia refrigeration, HCFC, hot water, air compressor, and waste treatment systems.
  • •Ensure safe and efficient facility operations through proactive equipment monitoring and maintenance.
  • •Follow OSHA PSM and EPA RMP standards, and participate in workplace safety initiatives and emergency response preparedness.
  • •Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and related systems.
  • •Document and manage work activities using maintenance and business software systems, and collaborate with team members, operations personnel, and contractors.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent; formal training from an air-conditioning refrigeration technical school is a plus.
  • •3+ years of industrial ammonia refrigeration and equipment room experience in a food plant is preferred.
  • •Working knowledge of electrical testing equipment and basic hand and power tools.
  • •Extensive knowledge of industrial safety procedures preferred, plus the ability to read and understand equipment and system P&IDs.
  • •Must be able to pass a HAZ-Mat physical and be trained/certified as an Emergency Responder Technician Level for the Emergency Response Team.
