Job Summary

Architect and build reliable platform infrastructure that powers Zendesk’s product portfolio. Lead DevOps-first initiatives to design, scale, and optimize cloud infrastructure across global regions, driving automation via Infrastructure as Code and improving observability, incident response, and CI/CD pipelines. Partner with product engineering, security, and compliance to deliver secure, compliant infrastructure, and mentor engineers while solving complex technical challenges with minimal customer impact.

Key Responsibilities

•Architect and maintain highly available, scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure for Zendesk’s global operations across multiple regions.
•Drive infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code to enable reproducible, version-controlled deployments.
•Establish and improve observability, alerting, and incident response practices to maintain system reliability and performance.
•Architect and optimize CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery while minimizing deployment risk and downtime.
•Lead incident responses and post-incident reviews, and collaborate with product engineering, security, and compliance to deliver robust, secure, compliant infrastructure.

Key Requirements

•5-6 years of progressive experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Operations Engineering roles.
•Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure in globally distributed environments.
•Expert proficiency with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
•Advanced knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools and patterns (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
•Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker, plus modern CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD).
