Key Responsibilities

  • •Define electrical requirements to inform component selection and electronics architecture for the human-robot interface subsystem.
  • •Design and test the audio and display subsystems of the Apollo robot.
  • •Ensure EMI/EMC compliance and contribute to safety certifications (UL, CE) for power and communications.
  • •Design, simulate, implement, and test multi-layer mixed-signal PCBsAs.
  • •Develop validation and test plans (DVT/PVT), create test fixtures, and verify performance and regulatory compliance (FCC, CE).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; minimum 5 years of industry experience in audio electronics and acoustic design (smart speakers, headphones, or robotics).
  • •Strong expertise with PCB tools (e.g., Altium Designer) for high-power, high-speed boards.
  • •Experience designing, testing, and validating audio subsystems and mixed-signal PCBs, with knowledge of microphones, speakers, audio amplifiers, I2S, DSP, and signal conditioning.
  • •Proven ability to design and execute electrical and audio validation tests (Audio Precision, SoundCheck, B&K HATS) and ensure compliance with EMI/EMC, FCC, CE, UL standards.
  • •Capabilities in vendor/contract manufacturer management, project lifecycle ownership (concept to production), and mentoring of junior engineers.
