Job Summary

Execute and continuously improve paid search strategy to capture new customer and pro demand for local home services. Own and optimize Thumbtack’s SEM program across Google and Microsoft, driving KPI performance. Lead experimentation for ad copy, keywords, and bidding, while partnering with data science, analytics, and engineering on LTV targets, bid automation, and ad-creation tools. Ensure strong tracking, attribution, and measurement across performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities

•Execute and improve Thumbtack’s paid search strategy to identify new opportunities for customer and pro growth.
•Manage, optimize, and grow the SEM program across Google and Microsoft while adhering to KPIs.
•Develop an experimentation roadmap for ad copy, keywords, bidding, and related factors.
•Partner with data science, analytics, and engineering teams to build automation and scalable tools supporting bid automation and ad creation.
•Own tracking, attribution, and measurement of performance metrics (e.g., iROAS, incremental lift) using in-house and third-party data.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 97,800 - 126,500 annually

Key Requirements

•8+ years of paid digital advertising experience with a proven track record of improving and scaling SEM programs using conversion volume and efficiency goals.
•Demonstrated experience improving SEM campaign performance through testing, optimization, automation, and creative.
•Strong data analytics skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, basic modeling).
•Experience with TROAS + LTV bidding.
•Strong fluency with generative AI and automation tools, including integrating them into day-to-day SEM execution and analysis.
